Well, I knew a few, but they are still fascinating. If you go to the source article, make sure you take the “blind eye test” and watch the YouTube about how rats can laugh. Really neat.

50 Scenic Drives of a Lifetime

I like how Nat Geo Traveler puts it: “Sometimes it’s the destination…sometimes it’s the journey; sometimes it’s both.” We all love to look at beautiful places. Going to Italy is still on my list of things “to do.” Knowing full well I will not get there in my lifetime, I relish in the fact that others bring the beautiful scenery to us.

I find it interesting that Virginia & Kentucky (US) are mentioned many times as some of the world’s most beautiful places to visit.  It’s a reminder to Americans that we can literally vacation in our own back yard. We should learn to appreciate that fact.

Joe and I went on a marvelous adventure yesterday. We drove way out into the county to visit a friend’s farm and see their new calf. Along the way, we found the most amazing little Chapel, Est. 1875. (took a ton of pictures)

For us it’s almost NEVER “the destination,” for we never know where we’re going to end up even if the trip is planned. We love Life’s little detours. For us…it’s the journey. Does it matter where you end up as long as you are with the ones you love?
